Technical Documentation Specialist

Objective and Purpose: Technical Documentation is paramount in the highly regulated medical device industry, and Ascom is committed to ensuring compliance with all requirements. As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing, preparing, and maintaining documentation for users, service engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Write, distribute, collect, store, and maintain documentation for Ascom products and offerings.
- Produce high-quality technical documents such as data sheets, installation instructions, user manuals, and system documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements for Instructions for Use.
- Maintain Ascom's document publishing platform and lead reviews to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for documentation updates.
- Design user documentation for optimal functionality, readability, and consistency.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback to contractors and new employees working with user documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information design or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years + of working experience in technical documentation.
- Knowledgeable about Ascom's product portfolio.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in text layout, design, and graphical skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
