Project Delivery Manager
About the Role
Do you thrive on bringing structure to complexity—turning scattered inputs into clear plans, solid business cases, and measurable improvements? In this role, you’ll be the engine that keeps our ICT infrastructure services commercially controlled, operationally followed up, and continuously improved. You will work closely with internal business stakeholders, vendors, and global teams to ensure predictable delivery, cost control, quality, and lifecycle execution.
You’ll join an international setup aligned with Ascom’s group-wide ways of working and transparency initiatives.
What you will do (key responsibilities)
Vendor management
· Own and drive the vendor management cycle: performance follow-ups, service reviews, escalations, commercial alignment, and renewals.
· Ensure suppliers deliver against agreed scope, quality, cost, and timelines.
Financial & quality control (FinOps / Infra budget)
· Run financial governance for infrastructure services: cost tracking, forecasting, budget follow-up, and variance analysis.
· Identify cost optimization opportunities and drive actions to realization (not just reporting).
Budget planning
· Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles for infrastructure cost and capacity needs.
· Produce clear financial narratives and decision material (business cases, options, risks).
Project & change management (Infra Change Manager)
· Manage or coordinate infrastructure projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring structure, progress and stakeholder alignment.
· Drive change management for infrastructure changes: planning, risk assessment, approvals, communication, execution follow-up, and hosting CAB's.
Incident management follow-ups
· Follow up incident backlogs and coordinate critical incidents across stakeholders.
· Drive problem follow-up actions to closure and ensure learnings translate into improved stability and procedures.
Business stakeholder management
· Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and translate demand into prioritized, actionable delivery plans.
· Facilitate a clear demand/supply governance model for infrastructure services.
Lifecycle management and planning
· Own lifecycle planning for infrastructure platforms and services (refresh, renewals, decommission).
· Ensure lifecycle plans are converted into executable roadmaps and budgeted activities.
Who you are (personality & ways of working)
· You have a strong drive and are energized by creating structure and order: data, planning, presentations, governance routines, and clear decision material.
· You take ownership, push tasks to completion, and ensure follow-ups don’t fade out over time.
· You are a continuous improver: you identify what’s inefficient and you drive real change—measured, implemented, and sustained.
What you bring (experience & skills)
· Proven experience in one or more of: vendor management, service management, infrastructure financial governance (FinOps), budgeting, project/change management, incident/problem follow-up.
· Strong capability in planning, prioritization, stakeholder management, and executive-ready communication.
· Comfortable working in an international environment with distributed stakeholders and suppliers.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to turn numbers into clear actions and decisions.
Why this role matters (why you should apply)
You will create predictability and transparency in how infrastructure services are governed—commercially, operationally, and lifecycle-wise. Your structured way of working will reduce risk, improve delivery quality, and ensure we spend where it matters, as well as keeping the delivery in line with business needs. This position is key in our plans to further strengthen and professionalize our ICT Infrastructure Delivery.
Your background
· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
· 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
· A strong background in ICT infrastructure (Network, Telephony, Cloud (Azure), Hosting etc.) is an advantage
· Experience working in a multi-site, corporate IT environment is a major advantage
